You may need to update your Contact Information for many different reasons.  Please note that contact information is different than personal information.
  
Contact Information updates include:
  • Address
  • Preferred name
  • Email
  • Religion
  • Whatsapp
  • Phone Number
  • Consent to Receive Text Messages 
In order for a student to change their Contact Information the student should update this on their Student Portal by following the steps below:
  1. Sign into your student portal
  2. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your name
  3. Click on “Student Profile”
  4. Click “Edit” on the right side of the section titled Contact Information
  5. Update, change, or add desired information. 
  6. Scroll to the bottom and click “Save” 
Changing Information on Canvas

  • Name
  • Birthdate
  • Social Security Number
  • ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number)

Visit https://web.byui.edu/demographicworkflow and follow the instructions on the website 
 
Or
  1. Sign in to byupathway.org
  2. Click on the drop-down arrow next to your name
  3. Click on “Student Profile"
  4. Click on “Edit” on the right side of the section titled Personal  Information
  5. This will take you to a BYU-Idaho page
  6. Follow the instructions on the website to submit a request to change/update your information
  7. Please be aware you may be asked to provide documentation for the change.
