1. Degree Planner

You can access your Degree Planner by logging into your account at byupathway.edu and clicking the tab 'Academic Planning' and then 'Degree Planner.'

In the Degree Planner, you have access to the “Graduation Requirements” tab, as well as the “My Degree Requirements tab which will open your Degree Audit (the pop up must be enabled). These will help guide you through your course planning within your Degree Planner.

As an Ensign College student, you do not currently have access to a Degree Planner. 

You can access the Degree Maps for the Ensign College certificates and degrees on your Student Portal. These maps are found 
by : 
  1. Logging into the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Student Portal 
  2. Click on “Academic Planning” at the top of the portal page 
  3. Then click onDegree Maps 
 
2. Degree Audit

You can access your degree audit by doing one of the following: 
 
Option 1:
  • Log in to your student portal at byupathway.edu 
  • Click the drop-down arrow next to your name in the top-right corner of the page 
  • Click 'Degree Audit 
Option 2: 
  • Log in to your student portal at byupathway.edu 
  • Click on 'Academic Planning' at the top of the page 
  • Click 'Degree Audit'

Option 3:

  • Log in to your student portal at byupathway.edu
  • Click on 'Academic Planning' at the top of the page
  • Click ‘Degree Planner’
  • At the top of the Degree Planner page click ‘My Degree Requirements’

You can access your Ensign College degree audit in the Student Portal. You can find your degree audit by: 

  1. Logging into their BYU-Pathway Worldwide Student Portal 
  2. Click on “Academic Planning” at the top of the home page 
  3. Then click on “Degree Audit 

The Degree Audit will load in a new window. 

 
3. Change Workload

To change your workload, follow the instructions below: 

 

1. Click the “Change My Plan” button  

2. Acknowledge the two boxes that come up in the warning box after reviewing the information presented by “checking” them both and then click "Change Degree" 

3. Change your desired credits/semester by clicking "Change Workload" in #3 

4. Click "Next" and “Next: Plan Your Degree” to replan the degree

Changes to your workload can only be made during the open registration period. If you want to decrease your workload, you will need to drop courses through your Student Portal.  

 

On the home page, you will need to select ‘Drop Courses’ and make the necessary changes. If you want to increase your workload, you will need to submit a new request for registration in your Student Portal. 

4. Unofficial Transcript

If you wish to see your previous grades received for past semesters and cannot see this information in your Degree Audit, you can access your “Unofficial Transcript.” This document will show you the courses you have taken each semester and the grades earned.
 

You can access both your official and unofficial transcripts by: 

  1. Logging into your BYU-Pathway Worldwide Student Portal 
  2. Click on the person icon at the top right of the portal page 
  3. You will then choose ‘Official Transcript’ or ‘Unofficial Transcript’ from the list 

If an official transcript is needed, you will be directed to the BYU-Idaho website to make your request.

You can access both your official and unofficial transcripts by: 

  1. Logging into your BYU-Pathway Worldwide Student Portal 
  2. Click on the person icon at the top right of the portal page 
  3. You will then choose ‘Official Transcript’ or ‘Unofficial Transcript’ from the list 

If an official transcript is needed, you will be directed to the Ensign College website to make your request.  

 

If you have outstanding debts to Ensign College, you will not receive official transcripts until all amounts are paid in full. 

 
5. Degree Planner Troubleshooting

If you are enrolled at BYU-Idaho through BYU-Pathway Worldwide, you will be using the “Degree Planner” tool. This tool is supported by BYU-Pathway Worldwide. You may experience errors in accessing or using the tool.
 
You should use these basic troubleshooting solutions in order to fix any Degree Planner issue:
  • Switch to a different recommended browser. Recommended browsers are, in best order: 
    • Google Chrome
    • Microsoft Edge - updated version
    • Mozilla Firefox
    • (Note: Internet Explorer and Apple's Safari are not recommended browsers.) 
  • Clear all cache and cookies. (See this tutorial: How to Clear Cache and Cookies)
  • Use an incognito page
  • Make sure that the computer is currently up to date
  • Remove/disable pop-up blockers
  • Use a laptop or desktop computer. (Tablets, iPads and cell phones often don't have the necessary plug-ins or system requirements to properly access Canvas courses)
  • Make sure that any internet filters you have on your browsers are turned off for Canvas so assignments can be downloaded
  • Restart the computer
  • Make sure that all websites and links that are being used are up to date
 
NOTE: If you are at the degree planning stage within the degree planner, please verify that you have already planned or tried to plan your degree.

Ensign College students do not have access to the Degree Planner tool.
