The transfer window for the Spring 2024 Semester (April - July) is now closed.
The transfer admissions window will open on May 15th, 2024, for the Fall 2024 Semester (September – December).

- The changing institution's window closes 10 business days before each semester starts.
- The changing institution's window opens the day after Ensign's drop course deadline each semester.
- Students wishing to change schools will need to submit their transfer requests during this window. If they fail to do so, they will need to wait until the transfer window re-opens.
- Please allow 7-10 business days for transfer requests to be processed.
Students who wish to change to an Ensign College certificate/degree will need to select “I want a different degree” within their Degree Planner and fill out the transfer form to start the process.

Ensign Information
If you are looking to change certificates and transfer from Ensign College to BYU-Idaho, you will need to follow the below steps:
- All account holds must be resolved before starting the transfer process.
- If the student has completed or is completing their last certificate courses, they should apply for graduation. Graduation instructions found here https://www.ensign.edu/graduation/byu-pathway-worldwide
- *Students will not need to pay the $15.00 listed fee.
- Navigate to the Ensign Portal and select the “Sign In” option on the right
- A login page will appear; sign in using your church username and password credentials.
- Once signed in, select the “Change Certificate” option that is located on the left-hand side of the page under “Academic Planning.”
- Filling out the Transfer Form
- Access your Student Portal by signing in at byupathway.org
- Select “Change Certificate" on the left-hand side of the portal home page.
- Select the "Change my Certificate/Degree" tile at the bottom of the page. Or, if you are completing a certificate, you will see a yellow box at the top of the page with instructions to select the "Completing/Completed Certificate" tile at the bottom of the page.
- Select the certificate to switch to from the dropdown menu and select "next."
- Follow the listed instructions.
- *Students should start this process the semester they are registered for their last certificate course(s).
- Terms and Conditions. By submitting the transfer form students agree to the following:
- I will not enroll in courses through Ensign College while enrolled at BYU-Idaho.
- I understand my data will be moved from Ensign College to BYU-Idaho, and I will be enrolled in my new
- certificate or degree from BYU-Idaho.
- These changes could impact financial aid, payments, and course enrollments.
- BYU-Pathway Worldwide will verify the certificate completion status and, if needed, submit the graduation application on my behalf for review by the Registrar’s Office.
- It is my responsibility to verify that the graduation application has been submitted.

For Support -
If the student needs help with the transfer institutions process, inform the student that you will need to contact Advising. Please fill out the Mentor Advising Escalation Form on behalf of the student (do not send them the link, For Level 2 Support ONLY).
For Advising -
A Shift Lead will need to message the Transfer Team in the "Advising and Transfer Team" chat in Teams with the student’s name, PATH ID, and a description of what they need.

Employee Procedure
If a student has any Financial Holds on their account, they will be unable to request their transcripts.

Only students have access to send their BYU-Idaho transcripts to Ensign College or other schools for evaluation.
To start the transfer credit process from BYU-Idaho to Ensign College, access your transcripts through your student portal which is linked to BYU-Idaho’s website.

- 3. Click ‘Official Transcript’.
- 4. This takes you to the BYU-Idaho website, where you can order your official transcripts
- 5. Click ‘Order Transcript’ and ‘Order Transcript’ again.
- 6. Click the CES Institution to send transcripts.
- 7. Continue to follow system directions.

BYU-Pathway does not evaluate or send BYU-Idaho transcripts on behalf of students.

Transfer credit process from Ensign College to BYU-Idaho.
New Procedure
**Ensign Transcripts NOTE:
- Spring 2024 Ensign Transcripts WILL NOT be sent to BYU-Idaho for evaluation.
- Transcripts will be available for the student in their portal October 2024.
- Students who need assistance registering for their next courses because Degree Planner isn't granting credit for completed Ensign courses will require support to submit a ticket to the Degree Planner Team.
- This ticket will request the Degree Planner Team to submit a course authorization request for desired course(s).
- The "In Review" portal status will not go away.
BYU-Pathway will order and pay for Ensign College credits to be sent to BYU-Idaho for
students that meet the following requirements:

- When a student submits a transfer admissions request to move their enrollment from Ensign College to BYU-Idaho, it triggers a request to have the Transfer Team send transcripts to BYU-Idaho after grades are posted for the current semester and Ensign has awarded all certificates and degrees (about 6-8 weeks after grades are posted).
- Transcripts will be sent to BYU-Idaho after grades are posted and certificates have been awarded for the current semester. No fee will be charged to the student.
- If transcripts have been sent, a date will show up in the ECOL Transcripts field in the student’s CRM General Tab.
- - It will take 6-8 weeks for BYU-Idaho to receive the credits from Ensign College, evaluate them, and add them to the student's BYU-Idaho record.
- - If students request transcripts on their own, they will be responsible for paying any fees.
- - If the student’s name on their BYU-Idaho account is not the same on their Ensign College transcripts, BYU-- - Idaho will not be able to attach the Ensign transcripts to the student's account.
- If it has been more than 8 weeks since Ensign grades were posted and certificates awarded, and a transfer credit date is not listed in the CRM General Tab, follow the listed instructions in the Employee Procedure section.
NOTE: For students who transferred from Ensign to BYU-Idaho at the end of the Fall 2021 or Winter 2022 semesters, this request has already been processed.
If an official transcript needs to be sent to BYU-Idaho, the agent may fill out the Single Intake Form on the student's behalf. The Advising team will work with the Transfer team.

- Select ‘Transfer Credits
- Select ‘Student needs help submitting transfer credits to BYUI or Ensign College’
- In the ‘Description of Help Needed’ list;
- Date and name of the agent making the request.
- The student is transferring from Ensign College to BYU-Idaho and needs their official transcripts sent.
- Indicate if the student is transferring a completed certificate or individual courses. Be detailed about which credits are missing.
- Submit the Advising Escalation Form.
Ensign Information
If students have completed any credits at ENSIGN/LDS Business College previously (and are now at BYU-I transferring to pursue an Ensign certificate) they may not qualify for financial aid at Ensign. We don’t want to advise on anything for Ensign Financial Aid, please refer these students to the Financial Aid Office (801) 524-8111 or email finaid@ensign.edu
Ensign Information
If students have completed their first certificate and are enrolled in the Communication or Information Technology degree, they should register for their next classes at Ensign College and not submit the transfer form.
