Religion credit earned through the Church Educational System (CES) Institutes of Religion and other CES Schools will be accepted under the following conditions:

1. Course number is 100 or above.

2. Must be taken for Church University credit (if the course was taken through Institute).

3. Must be on an official college transcript (if the course was taken through another CES school such as BYU, BYU–Hawaii, LDS Business College, or BYU–Jerusalem).

4. An official Institute/University transcript must be sent directly from the Institute or the CES school in order to receive consideration for transfer credit.

Institute credits taken when you were a PathwayConnect student are not automatically sent to BYU-Idaho for evaluation. You will need to contact their Institute Director to have them sent over to the Transfer Evaluation office for review.

BYU-Idaho accepts CES Institute courses that have earned 2.0 credit hours and have been marked as taken for Church University credit. Transcripts need to be official, signed, and submitted through the institute director, secretary, or instructor (these must come from their church email address).

Institute transcripts can be submitted in 3 ways. The preferred method is for you to submit them through the myInstitute website.
